Water-based, acrylic, textured coating for concrete
Elastocolor Texture from Mapei is a coating for use on exterior, above-grade, new and previously coated concrete and masonry surfaces.
The coating’s unique blend of aggregates produces an attractive, high-build, textured finish, the company says, and is suitable for use on restoration projects to reduce the appearance of surface imperfections and repairs or wherever a uniform textured finish is desired.
The product is said to remain highly flexible and offers excellent filling properties and adhesion to prepared substrates.
Features and benefits include:
- suitable for use on all cementitious substrates including EIFS systems, stucco, concrete, concrete masonry units (CMUs), cement board and a variety of other building materials;
- vapour-permeable to allow the passage of water vapour into and out of the substrate; and,
- UV-resistant for better colour retention.
