Välinge Flooring Sets Sights on European Market
After successful rollouts in the U.S. and Asia, Välinge Flooring is now taking its real wood floors to Europe.
The company will first introduce its products in France.
“The reception we have had to the floors has been incredible — there’s a huge appetite for beautiful, sustainable real wood floors that can handle whatever life throws at them — and we think customers in France are going to love them, too,” says Hannes Lindblom, director of sales and marketing for Välinge Innovation’s surface technology division.
To ensure a smooth experience for distributors, retailers and consumers, Välinge has established a state-of-the-art, high-volume production facility in Nîmes, France.
David Sarcinella is also joining as managing director. Sarcinella has been involved in the flooring industry for almost 25 years and will use his expertise to establish Välinge Flooring in the French market.
“It’s a real pleasure and challenge to join Välinge,” says Sarcinella. “Their vision of offering an accessible, modern, design-orientated, quality product while thinking about the environment and preserving nature corresponds perfectly to my philosophy.”
The product line launching in France is called hardened wood flooring. The company says it offers the feel and luxury of real wood with up to three times the impact protection. The floors also feature a fold-down locking system that provides greater water resistance and allows for easier installation.
Välinge has experienced tremendous growth during the pandemic. The company was granted 500 new patents last year, and increased its licensee family with the addition of more than 30 partners. Välinge also announced the launch of its own flooring products under the brand name Välinge Flooring during the third quarter of 2020.
