Synergy Convention & Expo Announces Education Offerings
Programming for the 2025 Synergy Convention & Expo has been released.
The convention opens with a keynote from Dan Thurmon, author of Off Balance on Purpose and Positive Chaos. Known for combining acrobatics with insight, Thurmon will deliver a timely message on leadership through uncertainty.
World Flooring Covering Association (WFCA) CEO Scott Humphrey is hosting a session on Courageous Leadership in Action, along with WFCA board member and flooring salesman Darren Harrison, who made headlines for landing a plane after the pilot became unresponsive.
Sponsor spotlights feature Mohawk Industries/Performance Accessories and Shaw Industries/TotalWorx, with insights on subfloor preparation, installation accessories and job site efficiencies.
There will also be educational tracks from the Certified Flooring Installers (CFI), Floor Contractors Association (FCICA), and Flooring Consultants and Inspector Training Services (FCITS).
CFI workshops focus on carpet repair, resilient installation, luxury vinyl plank and laminate techniques.
FCICA sessions centre on contract management, public sector opportunities and the evolving role of installation leaders.
FCITS is offering inspector training that covers technical best practices and evolving standards.
Floor Covering Business to Business (FCB2B) is holding a separate, invitation-only meeting in conjunction with the convention that’s focused on advancing technology standards and digital adoption in the flooring industry. Registration for this track is managed independently by FC2B2.
The convention concludes with a closing keynote from Ron Nash, president and chief operating officer of Laticrete North America, who will share leadership insights and a forward-looking view of the flooring industry.
Synergy Convention & Expo takes place Sept. 16-18, at the Sheraton Music City Airport Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
Previously called Elevate: CFI-FCICA Annual Convention & Trade Show, the event was rebranded and expanded to bring together flooring professionals from across multiple organizations and disciplines for a unified, purpose-driven experience.
