Prova Takes Part in Princess Margaret Home Lottery
Prova Tile Installation Products is partnering on the 2026 Princess Margaret Home Lottery prize home.
As part of its commitment to the project — a one-of-a-kind residence built by Baeumler Quality Construction and designed by Baeumler Design Group — Prova’s parent company, M-D Building Products, has donated $20,000 worth products and related materials for the home’s construction.
“At M-D, we believe that the best partnerships are about more than building beautiful spaces — they are about building something that has a lasting impact,” says Julia Vozza, director of brand partnerships at M-D. “We are honoured to contribute our products, technical expertise and support to a project that brings together some of Canada’s leading names in construction and design while helping raise vital funds for cancer research through the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.”
Located on a corner lot in the Lorne Park neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ont., the 7,534-square-foot home features approximately 4,500 square feet across the main and second floors and another 2,900 square feet below grade. The design combines natural materials, including warm wood floors, layered textures and a soft, timeless palette to create a sense of calm throughout the home, which is surrounded by mature white oak trees.
Within the home, Prova products have been incorporated extensively across the tiled and stone-faced areas, offering waterproofing, drainage, underlayment and structural support.
Approximately 1,000 square feet of tiled floor area features Prova Flex-Heat underlayment, which provided the basis for the installation of electric floor heating beneath the tile surfaces.
The home features six bathrooms, including a main-floor powder room and a spa in the basement. Each bedroom features an ensuite bathroom, with five showers incorporated throughout the residence.
The shower assemblies showcase a range of Prova solutions, including Prova Board on all shower walls for waterproofing and structural support for stone slabs; Prova Niche for integrated, waterproof shower storage; Prova Linear Drain for contemporary shower drainage and a seamless tiled-finish aesthetic; and Prova-Mat waterproofing over mud beds to accommodate the framing and job site conditions encountered during construction.
Prova Board also played a structural role beyond the bathrooms. Both fireplace surrounds are clad using the product as part of their construction, while vanity walls in the main-floor powder room and primary ensuite are also supported and waterproofed with Prova Board, providing a foundation for the stone and tile finishes.
While the home itself is designed to inspire, its larger purpose is philanthropic.
The Princess Margaret Home Lottery helps support one of the world’s leading cancer centres, with proceeds contributing to cancer research, personalized cancer medicine and patient care.
Valued at $6.3 million, the prize home will be awarded on Dec. 15 by a draw. Home Lottery tickets can be purchased online through Dec. 4.
