NAFCD Executive Director Announces Retirement

The executive director of the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) is retiring.

Kevin Gammonley has served at the helm of the association since 2014. Over the years, he has led the successful growth of NAFCD’s value proposition and its membership base. He has also provided steadfast management and strong leadership during a number of challenging economic downturns as well as the recent Covid pandemic.

“We are honoured to be part of Kevin’s longstanding career,” says 2024 NAFCD president Dori Blitzstein. “We could not have had a more thoughtful and committed partner to help us in our association’s growth and development of our vision.”

Gammonley has been an association management professional for decades, serving a variety of different trade associations, including several wholesale distributor associations like the North American Building Material Distribution Association and the National Paper Trade Association. He has been employed by association management company Smithbucklin Corp. since 1992.

His last day with NAFCD will be June 30.

“Kevin is leaving our association in a position of strength and we are confident the transition will be seamless,” says Blitzstein. “We will certainly miss Kevin, but we will never forget how he helped to shape our association with his valuable insights and talent.”

Gammonley’s replacement is expected to be announced in the spring.

NAFCD serves distributors and suppliers of floor covering materials and related products.
