Mapei Americas announces appointments

Deerfield Beach, Fla.-based Mapei Americas has announced the appointment of Marco Roma as general manager of Mapei Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of the global chemical products manufacturer.

Roma will will report directly to Mapei Americas president and ceo Luigi Di Geso.

In addition, Dr. Hugh Wang has joined Mapei Americas’ Cement Additives Division (C-ADD) in the position of technical manager where he will manage the research and development laboratory activities at C-ADD.

Wang received his doctorate in material sciences from the University of Calgary in Alberta, and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science from his native China.
