Mannington Mills’ Board Chair to Retire at Year’s End

Mannington Mills’ Keith Campbell is retiring as board chair after serving in the position for 28 years.

“Mannington has been everything to me,” says Campbell, who will step down Dec. 31. “Serving as chair has been an incredible privilege, and I am immensely proud of the growth and success we have achieved together as a family and as a company.”

Campbell has spent his entire career at Mannington, which was founded by his great grandfather in 1915. He joined the company in 1977, and has held a variety of diverse positions in sales, manufacturing and finance. He was named to Mannington’s board of directors in 1983, and, succeeding his father, was appointed chair in August 1995.

Campbell’s nephew, Zack Zehner, who is president of Mannington’s residential business, will succeed him, ushering in the fifth generation of Campbell family leadership at the company. Zehner began his career with Mannington in 2003, as a district manager. In 2005, he was promoted to director of laminate. One year later, he was named director of porcelain tile. In 2008, he became vice-president of commercial hard surface, and in 2012 he was appointed senior-vice president of the distributor network.

“Zack has been an exceptional leader and representative of the business,” says Campbell. “He has set the residential business up for success and we pledge our full support as he takes on his new role (effective Jan. 1, 2024).”

This move sets off a cascade of other leadership changes at the company. Jimmy Tuley, senior vice-president of residential sales, will succeed Zehner as president of Mannington’s residential business. Tuley joined Mannington in 2012, as director of operations in Salem, N.J., where the company is headquartered. Since then, he has held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including director of luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and vice-president of the residential resilient division before joining the residential sales team as senior vice-president in 2021.

Al Boulogne, vice-president of commercial carpet and rubber, will assume Tuley’s current position as senior vice-president of residential sales. Boulogne began his career at Mannington in 2003, in pricing and rebates. He has led teams in marketing, channel management and both commercial and residential product management, which gives him deep understanding of the company’s product lines and go-to market strategies.

Whitney LeGate, vice-president of commercial LVT and sheet, is being promoted to senior vice-president of commercial product. In this new position, she will lead the strategy and success of all Mannington’s commercial product categories, both hard and soft surfaces. LeGate joined Mannington’s commercial division in 2009, as a sales analyst. Since then, she has held a variety of positions throughout the years, including manager of strategic accounts and manager of sales operations, before moving to the product management side of the business as commercial LVT product manager, followed by director of commercial LVT. She assumed her current role in 2020.

David Sheehan, senior vice-president of residential product, will take on an expanded role as senior vice-president of residential product and marketing. Sheehan joined Mannington in 2003, as director of laminate and resilient. Since then, he has led both residential and commercial product teams in various roles with significant innovation being launched under his leadership.
