Linoleum Focus of NFCA’s Next Education Session
The National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) has announced a second online education session for this fall.
Titled ‘The Basics of Installing Linoleum,’ the webinar will guide participants through the stages of installation, each of which plays a critical role in ensuring long-term performance. This includes evaluating site conditions, preparing the substrate, managing adhesive open time, fitting the material accurately and executing strong, durable seams.
In addition to breaking down the installation process, the session will address common pitfalls and quality benchmarks that define industry-standard workmanship.
It will also highlight the distinctions between linoleum and PVC or rubber flooring, while exploring how to work with linoleum’s unique properties to achieve a high-performing installation.
The webinar will be led by Danny Lavallie, manager of technical support for the Canadian division of Forbo Flooring Systems. Lavallie has worked in the technical department for Forbo since 2014. He has 25 years of experience installing flooring in commercial and institutional spaces.
The free education session will take place Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. EST. Interested participants can register online.
