Laminam Partners with Sample Material Platform

Ceramic surfacing products manufacturer Laminam has teamed up with online sample hub Material Bank.

The collaboration simplifies the material discovery and sampling process, making access to Laminam surfaces easier and faster across North America. Design professionals can browse and order samples of its extensive library of diverse colours, finishes and sizes, and receive them next day free of charge.

“We’re improving the customer experience,” says Philip Eeles, president of Laminam North America. “This partnership comes at the perfect time, with demand for porcelain on the rise and now, with the ability to experience and appreciate the difference between Laminam and other materials first-hand, designers can feel confident in their selections without touring various showrooms.”

Material Bank is the world’s largest marketplace for searching, sampling and specifying architecture, design and construction materials for both commercial and residential industries. The platform allows architects, interior designers and builders to make detailed searches across thousands of materials for their projects.

Laminam says this partnership reflects the company’s commitment to establishing collaborative relationships with the global architectural and design community and its commitment to sustainability. Material Bank has eliminated more than five million packages from being sent by combining samples from multiple brands into a single box. Samples can be returned to Material Bank’s 380,000-square-foot robotics-powered logistics facility for reuse at no cost to the design professional.

Laminam is the pioneer of ultra-thin, large-format porcelain surfaces. The company manufactures natural surfaces for interior and exterior design applications and disseminates them through a network of distributors, select fabricators and retailer showrooms.
