In December, Interface showcased its new Human Nature carpet-tile collection at IIDEX Canada 2014 in Toronto. The collection “explores the innate connection humans have to the earth,” according to Interface. Human Nature carpet planks reflect earthy textures from tumbled pebbles to freshly cut grass. Planks are a skinny 25 centimetres by one metre. They can be paired up with larger, 50 centimetre and one-metre square tiles for creating many different carpet designs. Different textures can also be combined. Five available styles include well-worn wood; limestone and polished-pebble looks.
