Former Mannington Mills President, CEO has Died

Mannington Mills’ former president and CEO has died at age 88.

A leader in the textiles industry, Tony Kelly served at the company’s helm from 1992 to 2001, before retiring. He successfully led the company through the Mannington Gold product failure, which required not only sound judgment and business acumen, but a commitment to associates and customers that has since become the hallmark of Mannington’s culture.

After Johnny Campbell’s death in 1997, Kelly, along with Keith Campbell and then-COO Tom Davis, developed the core values that Mannington associates live by today: care, do the right thing, work hard/play hard and control our own destiny. (Johnny was the grandfather of company founder John Boston Campbell).

Kelly is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sheila, his three children, Barbara, Adrienne and Damian, and eight grandchildren.
