Floating luxury vinyl floor absorbs sound

Transcend Loose Lay with SureSet Technology from Tarkett is a floating luxury vinyl floor that features a sculpted wave design backing system which creates pockets of air between the tile and the subfloor to manage moisture and absorb sound.

Light adhesive is applied to the wave, the only part of the backing that comes into contact with the subfloor, leaving channels free from adhesive, allowing the product to be easily repositioned and making it fully recyclable, the company says.

Micro-bevelled edges and a reinforced polyurethane finish layer are said to create luxurious wear surface details.

Tiles and planks feature a lifetime limited residential warranty and are phthalate free. The flexible product can cover a variety of existing floors – from wall-to-wall carpet to pre-existing tile and hardwood.
