FCITS to Hold Certification Course in Toronto

Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Services (FCITS) is bringing its premier complete inspector certification class to Canada.

Held Aug. 5-8, in Toronto, the intensive four-day program equips flooring professionals with the knowledge and skills to inspect, evaluate and resolve issues across all surface types.

The course, designed for flooring inspectors, installation managers, project supervisors, dealers and sales professionals with at least five years of experience, combines three of the industry’s most in-demand certifications — carpet, hard surface and advanced resilient (LVT, LVP, SPC). Taken individually, these certifications cost more than $3,500. FCITS offers the complete program for $2,499, with discounted hotel accommodation available for attendees.

Participants will gain in-depth analysis of luxury vinyl tile and plank failures, such as gapping, buckling and peaking; moisture testing, substrate preparation and adhesive performance evaluation; access to industry-standard templates and personalized report writing support; and peer case studies, expert-led instruction and technical networking.

Both flooring inspectors and manufacturers widely recognize the value of FCITS certification. As one recent graduate shared, “I had a mill send me an inspection over three hours away, not because I was the closest inspector but because I was the closest FCITS-certified inspector.”

FCITS, division of the World Floor Covering Association, is the leading provider of flooring inspection certifications, offering an extensive curriculum and hands-on training for flooring professionals. Established in 1988, it has trained more than 2,000 inspectors worldwide.
