CBP Relaunches Website, Adds Online University

North America’s largest manufacturer of tile installation and flooring preparation products has launched a new website.

Designed by and for construction professionals, the redesigned Custom Building Products (CBP) site was created as an information hub for contractors, architects and distributors.

“Tile and flooring professionals trust Custom’s line of products because we listen to them and consistently innovate to meet their needs, and our redesigned website is evidence of that,” says Reeve Haldeman, vice-president of marketing.

The 10-month overhaul of the site focused on improving the user experience, including site navigation, which is more intuitive; fast, responsive service using live chat with technical service specialists; enhanced product knowledge from project case studies detailing the products used and proper application; and easy to use material calculator to quickly calculate product quantities needed for any size job.

As part of the launch, CBP also debuted its Custom Technical University (CTU) Online Anytime, which features more than 25 short, content-rich video courses.

“Our new online university is designed to provide continuing education using concise and information-packed videos,” says Haldeman. “It’s all part of our efforts to continue to be the pros’ first choice.”

CTU videos average five to 10 minutes and build on knowledge in key areas to give tile industry professionals the tools they need to specify and install the right products. Modules focus on American National Standards Institute standards and Tile Council of North America installation methods, specification and application best practices, and understanding of job site and service conditions. Instructional topics include surface preparation, tile setting, grout and care. Each learning module includes a quiz and an opportunity to earn a certificate of proficiency at completion.
