Carpet Tile Blends Past and Present

Past Forward by Interface is a carpet tile collection created in celebration of the company’s 50th anniversary.

The line draws inspiration from fashion’s heritage trend, the revival of ‘60s and ‘70s furniture, and Axminster and Wilton carpet designs. It merges historic motifs with bold patterns and colour palettes, artfully reimagined with advanced tufting technology and tailored to meet the demands of today’s commercial spaces.

The design process involved research and dialogues with pioneers in carpet tile manufacturing to capture the historical designs and how these have evolved, says the company.

The collection offers 14 carpet tile styles, including ornate rococo and renaissance visuals, retro patterns with scribbles and boxes, vintage-inspired patchwork styles and traditional Turkish motifs.

Past Forward is made from 100 per cent recycled content nylon and is carbon-neutral throughout its life cycle.
