New Carpet Explores Creative Expression
Tarkett’s new In the Making carpet collection explores the creative process and the gradual evolution of an idea. The collection comprises three patterns — Traced, Preparation and Gestural — offered in 12 colours.
Traced is defined by layered, cross-directional lines that form a textural grid with subtle movement. Drawing on the marks and imprints that emerge during the creative process, the pattern introduces a measured sense of rhythm and structure.
Preparation takes a more abstract approach, combining deconstructed linear elements to create a fluid composition with layered texture underfoot. Its hand-painted-like aesthetic references the stages of development that precede a finished work, giving the pattern a sense of movement and progression.
Gestural translates the immediacy of freeform mark-making into a modular pattern. Scattered rectangles and rhombus-like forms create an open, loosely structured composition, reflecting the spontaneity and energy of creative expression.
Each pattern is available as hybrid carpet and in two carpet tile options.
The collection is designed for education and workplace environments. It is part of Tarkett’s ReStart take-back and recycling program.
