B.C. Flooring Contractor Sees Rising Renovation Activity
A Metro Vancouver flooring contractor is reporting growing demand for flooring renovations.
Floors Depot says it has completed 28 projects across Vancouver and Burnaby, B.C., in July.
Approximately 40 per cent involved luxury vinyl plank (LVP) installations in condominiums, while nearly one-third featured porcelain and ceramic tile in residential homes.
Another 18 per cent were engineered hardwood flooring installations in detached homes.
Three projects involved comprehensive multi-room flooring renovations, including demolition, flooring removal, subfloor preparation, floor levelling and the installation of new flooring.
July’s completions have brought Floors Depot’s total to 52 flooring renovation projects across Metro Vancouver so far this year.
The figures reflect the growing demand for waterproof flooring. According to Floors Depot, LVP has become a preferred choice for condos and townhomes because of its durability, realistic wood appearance and resistance to everyday moisture. Porcelain and ceramic tile remain a popular choice for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and entryways where long-term water resistance and durability are essential.
Floors Depot has been serving residential and commercial customers across Metro Vancouver since 2005.
